Our Story

Founded in 2017 by Prem Verma and his son, Mohit, Brahma Yoga is dedicated to sharing authentic yoga teachings. With centers in Dharamkot, surrounded by the quiet of the Himalayas, and South Goa, set in a peaceful coastal environment, we offer spaces for learning, reflection, and personal growth.
Each location carries its own atmosphere : the stillness of the mountains and the calm flow of the sea, both rooted in the same intention: to live yoga in its true essence.

Prem and Mohit’s journey grew from years of learning with sadhus, swamis, and respected teachers across India. Their path became deeply personal when Prem faced a period of illness that left him paralysed. In search of healing beyond conventional medicine, he met Swami Vijayanand Ji, whose teachings and guidance not only restored his health but also became the foundation of his spiritual journey. Inspired by his miraculous recovery, Prem dedicated his life to share the gift of yoga with others. Together with his son, he created Brahma Yoga : a place to learn, heal, and explore yoga in its traditional form.

At Brahma Yoga, we honour this legacy by sharing yoga with the same spirit of humility and care. Our mission is to support each student in their own journey toward balance and understanding.

Our Mission

At Brahma Yoga, our mission is to share yoga as a complete path : one that brings awareness, discipline, and balance to daily life.
Rooted in traditional teachings yet open to modern understanding, we aim to create a space where yoga is explored not only as a physical practice but as a way to connect deeply with oneself and with life.

Our approach is inspired by the principle of Tapasya which is the conscious effort and dedication that lead to inner transformation. Through consistent practice, we learn to open the body, calm the mind, and allow Prana (life force energy) to move freely. This process supports healing, clarity, and a deeper sense of freedom within.
